Basically I have eczema all of the time and I have a bath once a week (in the other 6 days I shower) with emollient mixed with the bath water. I use the following: http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/skin-and-hair/medicines/hydromol-ointment.html in the bath water once a week.

I rinse my hair with it as a result and now I realise this may be very bad for my hair. Is it? Would it possibly cause premature hair loss? I ask because my Dad's side of the family has balding after their 30's whilst my Mum's side has none at all. My hair is like my Mums but I am just very worried.

Dunno if it's bad, but if it is then just don't rinse your hair with this stuff, it's simple really! I have eczema too, and I've found that the boots kew gardens mens moisturisers work wonders, give it a go!

It is a quick bath, do not spend too much time in the bath if you have eczema.

I find that Apple Cider Vinegar works very well for my eczema which is really quite bad eczema. It kills off the inflammation and is soothing.

No relation. The fact that your hair "looks like your mum's" is not relevant either. I suggest you consult a dermatologist.

How would I test to see if I am losing my hair?
