21m 2020 Check Up - Possible Male Pattern Baldness?

Hey everyone,

I created a thread here back in 2019. I left with a reasonably high opinion of how my hair was looking with regard to thickness and hairline.

A year has passed since then, and having stopped using Min, I feel that things have gotten a good deal worse. I have continued to use Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and paraben etc. free shampoos and conditioners. But I think stress is getting the better of me.

What do you guys think? Are there signs of male pattern baldness? I don't see any hair coming out in the shower, nor on my pillow. I may just be worrying for the sake of worrying.

I think youre 100% going bald and it has gotten worse.

Youre hairline is diffusing badly. Using only minoxidil aint going to cut it for you

You can use finasteride but i'm not sure youre going to like the side effects

So you can either take it to keep your hair and deal with the sides or keep on receding and diffusing.

Thanks, mate. You're quite spot on, I'm really put off by the side effects of finasteride, and I'd rather keep a short crop than experience those.

I also found this photo, taken I believe in May 2020. Similar decline since 2019, I believe, but do you think there's even more thinning between this photo and then?

Def balding. Take finasteride. Idk why that guy is saying “deal with sides” like your guaranteed sides. People on these forums are crazy. In all the studies 1% of men get sides, and any sides go away if you stop taking it. Take it, you’ll have a 99% chance of not getting sides, and if you somehow do, just stop taking it lol. I’ve been on finasteride for over a year, no sides, and I’m maintaining what I had when I started. I have ZERO regrowth though. It’s not some miracle pill. You probably won’t regrow any, so if you want to pause it, jump on finasteride.

Don’t get nocebod either. One study showed that when people were TOLD there could be sides BEFORE they started taking it, like 30% of people had sides. These forums make people bug and they nocebo themselves. Just take the pill and forget about it
