Background: 21 years old, noticed thinning around 5-6 months ago, possibly started before that though.
I do not think my hairline is receding (check pictures and let me know what you think) Hair on crown is definitely thinning.
My dad is 60 and completely bald, he started balding mid-late 20s but started with receding hairline. Uncle and grandpa on moms side have almost full heads of hair.
I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder (I know this doesn't help) and take medication for it once a day

I am in Spain for school until December and do not think I can get prescribed anything (I will look into it though)
I have plenty of rogaine 5% (liquid and foam) but have heard horror stories of shedding phase lasting 2 years. I know once I start rogaine I can never stop using it.
I just started taking a multivitamin as well as vitamin D, biotin, green tea, and pumpkin seed supplements. I've heard the last 2 are natural DHT blockers.

I went to a dermatologist before leaving for Spain and he said he couldn't determine the cause of hair loss but I believe it is male pattern baldness.

What do you guys think my best course of action is? Please, hit me with everything! IMG_0034.JPGIMG_0032.jpg

I think you need to get on finasteride as soon as possible. There is a sticky for a drug interactions checker to see if your anxiety meds will interact with finasteride. Link: http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/showthread.php/40517-Drug-Interactions-Checker
I am on dutasteride and have experienced zero side effects and the percentage of people who have sides are very low. Go to a different dermatologist or even better a hair transplant specialist and ask for a script for finasteride for the duration of your stay in Spain then you will have to get another one when you get back in the US most likely

I don't see anything from the pictures, but if you are balding then I would just skip minoxidil and go straight for propecia.

Here's my opinion: From the pictures I don't see any signs of balding, just relax and see how your vitamin regimen works. It could be stress related. Start treatment when you are sure it's male pattern baldness :)

The pics I have are not the best as I am staying i an apartment in madrid and the lighting is terrible. There is thinning on the crown for sure though. I can even feel it when running my hand through my hair. I think I am going to try and get a propecia* script. I know there is a shedding faze using it but besides that is it guaranteed to stop loss and possibly regrow? I am sexually active at home but not here in spain, I've heard propecia can cause erectile dysfunction?

Sorry but i don't have any experience with propecia.. if you feel like the treatment is necessary, then i'm sure that there are other guys on the forum that can give you a fair advice!

Your crown does appear to be thinning (I can see the lack of density) but it's not all that noticeable.
