Applying minoxidil isn't that bad. You could do it once a day before bed. On your hairline only. Take you about 30 seconds.

okay thanks I might just get minoxidil then.. I Just heard the shedding from it is really bad and I don't want to use it unless finasteride fails to grow back what I've lost.. but then again, I don't want to be too late in using minoxidil so it won't even be effective.. Either way would really appreciate an answer to my other concerns if anyone can.

Tbh I'm not really experienced enough to answer all of your concerns.
But I'm actually surprised at the amount of people that come here scared of minoxidil shedding.
It didn't cause any shedding at all for me. I've since started on the 15% strength and no shedding from that either. But, hasn't given me any results beyond the 5% thus far.

I would say NW1.5 or NW2, not sure though. It depends, if you want to regrow or just maintain what you have. The problem with minoxidil is that it can be a real hassle to apply everyday for twice a day. If I were you, I would just use finasteride. But I recommend you read about both minoxidil and finasteride to see which are more willing to do. The thing with minoxidil/rogaine is that it does not stop you from balding, it doesn't have any effect on DHT, therefore you will continue to bald. minoxidil will only hold off your hairloss for maybe a few years. Finasteride will actually fight male pattern baldness at the root problem and inhibit DHT. Like I said, If I were you I would use finasteride just to maintain what you have and if you are lucky, you will get a bit of regrowth, but I wouldn't count on regrowth.

Imo you are Not even full Norwood 2 yet. I think finasteride and nizoral would be enough. I'd start with those two and re evaluate at a year or 2.
