Had a little bit of post-operative pressure allopecia because of a tight surgical band from an unrelated head surgery a few months ago, so I went to a doctor in Manhattan. That cleared up thankfully, but I asked her about finasteride and she almost reluctantly prescribed it to me. She says my hair is really thick and she's surprised that I came in for hair-loss other than what happened from my (non hair related) surgery.

I think my hair's not doing too good, so I started finasteride. It's pretty long right now so it doesn't look as good as if it were short, but I just want to know what you guys think about my hairline's deal. I feel I'm at that norwood 2 ish, and was definitely a norwood 1 when I was ~17 years old.

Mom's dad was a solid norwood 2 in his old age, dad's dad was chrome dome. My dad's sitting pretty at Nw4.

Why did you start Finastride? There was no need.

Had really bad hair loss from a surgery. Postoperative band was very tight for a week and lost a fat chunk of my hairline unfortunately. Thankfully, it is back.

My dermo suggested I just wait it out, I suggested the possibility of finasteride and she said it's a possibility, figured I'd air on the side of caution. Additionally, my hairline was more square and straight a few years ago
