20 Years Old, Trying To Figure Out If I'm Receding Or Maturing.

I'm 20 years old. I've always had a big forehead looking back at pictures of myself when I was younger, but I feel like my hairline has gotten even bigger. My dad and all of the uncles on his side, even the youngest, are bald. However the youngest uncles son has a decent head of hair despite being older than me. On my moms side both my uncles still have good hair. Both grandpas are bald, and my late grandmother was also balding I believe. My hair has also started growing a different way since I graduated high school(used to just grow upwards and straight mostly, now the frontal hairline keeps curling up). I just want to get to the bottom of this so that I can start doing whatever I have to do to keep what I have. Not having too much luck growing a beard(Mutton Chops, a goatee and a mustache but it all refuses to connect) so I'm not too keen on cutting it either. I heard male pattern baldness is more so an hereditary effect from the mother's side than the fathers side so I'm not sure if my uncles on that side just got lucky or if my recession is an environmental effect. I don't have the best diet and stress is a normal part of my existence at this point so I'm hoping it's just that.

Hello. Yes, sorry, looks like you're carrying the male pattern baldness gene. Read about finasteride, minoxidil and ketoconazole if you're interested in fighting it. Good luck

I've started noticing this around November or December after a haircut but it may have started even before. No longer than 2 years though considering in my high school grad picture(2016) my hairline was a bit lower down my forehead. What are my odds of growing my hairline back? If it's destined to stay this high I might just buzz it.

Definitely receding. Sorry to say but you do have male pattern baldness. Hairline rarely fills up through medications but you can halt the hairloss through them though.

Try and see where it gets you. 2 years ago is pretty recent so you might have good odds. I wouldn't waste anytime whatsoever if I were you and hop on treatments asap.

You're receding but you're in the earlier stages. Give minoxidil and finasteride a try for a year and see how it goes.

if you don't get on finasteride you will be effectively bald in no time. It is obvious the dht demon is ravaging your follicles

How is this early stages? 99% of the population would look at him and consider him to be balding.

Yeah dude you have male pattern baldness gene from ur dads side. I am the same way and noticed the exact same thing with the front of the hairline curling instead of being straight like it was before. My dad and all his brothers were NW6-7 in their early 20s and late teens. The person with the most hair on his side of the family is his sisters son who is a NW3-4ish at 30.

Right now our only choice is to get on finasteride+minoxidil+nizorol+biotin+dermarolling to keep our hair.
