Apologies. Photos are attached.

What are your thoughts sir?

I've always had fine hair, ever since I was a kid. I've got a few photos of when I was playing sports as a kid and you could see my scalp on some of them. Also my nutrition, and general lifestyle hasn't been great over the past few years, could this be a factor?

The widespread thinning all over the scalp is what's alarming me. I buzzed my hair to see the full extent and the hairs don't seem as healthy as they once were. I went through a stage of severe dieiting in my mid teens and I didn't replenish my body after stopping. Also my general lifestyle hasn't been great over the last few years. Very little exercise, with a not so great diet. Could this be a factor? If I improve my overall wellbeing, should I expect to see normal regrowth?

Looks like you have fine hair, that is genetic. Some people have thick hair follicles and some finer. I do not see any balding going on with you at this point. My hair has always been fine, cannot get a decent hair style over 2" with my hair.

Maybe difuse male pattern baldness but in a pattern that is more common in women, google ludwig hairloss pattern and you may identify yourself. Make an apointment with your dermatologist and speak to him about your concern. The earlier you treat, the more you may keep ;).

Is that genetic or can it be due to other factors?

I've read that thyroid issues can cause such thinning.

Can thyroid imbalances/nutritional deficiencies cause diffuse thinning?

Unlikely something different since it seems to be limited to the exact ludwig pattern and it looks like there are miniaturised follicles (weaker hairs) which only appears in andeogenic alopecia, but get your blood checked for iron deficiency and thyroid as well, if everything is fine you have male pattern baldness

miniaturised follicles can also occur as a result of hormone and nutritional imbalances, right? after a prolonged period of imbalance, they'll naturally become weaker.. (?)

granted it may be what you suggest but miniaturisation isn't exclusive to androgenetoc alopecia is it?
