hi

Ive been on propecia for 15 months. regaine 9 months. nizoral once a week. was a nw1 when started, thinning on top. horrible sheds on and off. Today Im nearly a NW2...and getting really thin on top with a bald spot appearing. does this mean its not working. My hair seemed fine and thicker last November / December...not thin on top again. Is it important to wait and look at two years (something to do with hair cycles - do they take a while) Will i thicken up again...anyone else been through a similar experience and was all good at 2 years. Im losing confidence and Im going to cry! I'll post some pics tonight on my thread in growth stimulants section (called: devastating effects of regaine) Im hoping the 2 year mark theory is correct! :(

15 months is long enough to assess a treatment, IMO. It doesn't sound like its doing what it should for you, sorry.

Right now you should at least look at using nizoral more than once a week, it will definitely make your hair look cosmetically thicker. 3 times per week is best going by the study.

Have you got any baseline pictures to compare to how you are now? I'd post them up and see what people think, it's good to get a different perspective.

I personally wouldn't stop the treatments because I think they would be doing more good than you realise. Could also just be going through a shed.

You have to remember that it isn't an exact science. Propecia + minoxidil isn't assured to stop your hair loss, slowing it down may be the best you can hope for.
