2 Questions About Finasteride -> Shedding

Hi everyone,

I've been on Finasteride for 8 months so far. The past 8 months have been hell. I have lost a lot of my hair. My front hairline TOTALLY got destroyed. It hurts really much when you take a pill to cure something, only to discover it's making it worse. Way worse. If I decided not to touch Finasteride, my hair maybe would be this bad 3/4 years from now, since my hair loss was there but really slow.

I wonder if:

- I quit, will I go back to baseline, or will it be worse? Since I haven't really gained any new hairs since starting 8 months ago.
- Do the hairs I shed in the shower daily get destroyed after I lose them? Because it really seems they're not coming back. Do shed hairs grow back or do they stop growing completely?

Thanks in advance everyone.

Is your finasteride legit? I would even try to check my DHT levels in my blood to see if it's working before totally dropping it.

I only been on it a month and noticed a rapid receding.

I don't think my hairline would make it to 7 months :(

I have come to a couple of possible conclusions

1. This is normal receding and the finasteride just activated an itch for some reason.
2. It is actually speeding up my hairloss
3. Dht is being blocked and testosterone is taking over (even though i ain't getting oily skin or anything)
4. My scalp has become sensitive to the remaining DHT
5. I am fucked.

I'd give it at least 18 months. There have been users who haven't seen any cosmetically significant results until AFTER a year.

At the 9 month mark that's when I first started to see improvement, so all hope isn't lost yet.

But did you see getting worse until you improved?

I'm taking finasteride 7 months. There are some areas that I saw improvement (I think) but in other areas I'm getting worse. It's strange.
