1mg to 0.5mg of finasteride

I have been on finasteride for 6 months 1mg propecia daily. At first i shed but now i no longer lose hairs even after showering, so it appears the sheds have stopped. I am now considering switching from 1mg to 0.5mg of finasteride to save money and to see if libido will change due to smaller dose.

My only concern is, will i experience a shed again from switching the dose to a smaller one? Because my body is use to 1mg of finasteride now.

I was wondering the same thing, b/c it does work for me. However I am waiting for my temples to filll in and hopefully the 1mg finasteride is assisting my temple regime, so I am not prepared to drop to .5 mg yet. I know there has been a study showing that .5 mg works as effectively as 1 mg. If I get complete regrowth I will try it out.

Dont change up with your regimen because it's working for you at 1MG and if you drop to .5MG then you may start lossing your hair again.

Add on to what I was saying. If you are having sexual side effect you may want to drop down to .5MG which will most likely stop the sexual side effect. Propecia is less then 2 dollars a day. Get Proscair if money is a problem.

it is because of sexual sides. Even though the sides are very inconsistant, I want to try to regulate the finasteride to a point where i am getting the best of both. Have it keep my hair and have minimal sides.,

will switching to .5 cause a shed though?

try taking l-arginine for the sexual sides, i think i will give it a try b/c many report it works great. Maybe I'm paranoid but i thought last nights "performance" was only 85% instead of "full on"

Can u provide details?....Did u shed imediately or how long after u took propecia..how long the shed lasted..how long before u saw new regrowth...thanks
