Since puberty I have recognized that I always had very high temples and a widow's peak. Until recently I didn't pay much attention to my hairline. One temple has been significantly higher than the other for as long as I can remember. I just want to ask if my hair looks like textbook male pattern baldness beyond the so called " mature hairline", and if so, what are generally the most effective medications to help restore/keep the temples as I have no thinning/recession in any other area. Thanks!

I am sorry but you likely have Androgenetic Alopecia. I usually explain the reasoning and symptoms that I see, but I just don't feel the need to explain how I based my "verdict." I could be completely out of line though and you might be just that. You have not made clear if your hairline recession is more pronounced now than it was in early years of your puberty; if it keeps changing lately?. In any case, you might be one of those slow progressives. Do not start any treatments until you are 100% sure you are going downhill, and only you would know for sure you are losing it before its too long into it. Read my posts to determine how you can guage your loss and later treatments etc. By any chance, do you have older brother/s with hairloss etc.?
