New user, 19 year old from london here with suspected hair loss starting.
So my grandad on my dads side lost his hair in his early 20's . My father did as well, both started when they were 23 or so and lost most of their fronts by 30. My dad pulled off what i believe is the best hair loss strategy "The Connery manoeuvre" ( Read: growing a beard that connects to the receded hair line
) . As I cannot grow out a beard yet i cant do that lol. Interestingly my mums father had a full head of hair until he was in his 90's.
I am seeking advice
As I think I may be losing it.
In the last few months it looked like the front of my hair thinned :

My dad noticed that too so recently I got my hair cut nice and thin and it looks better

However I have noticed now my hair is shorter ( cut last week) something strange on the top of my head.

I am unsure what this is, is this thinning ?
Being honest, if its in my blood then its going to happen , thats life. For me I want to know at this early stage the best strategy to prevent it for as long as possible and mitigation. Also how do I know what to look for and what shampoos etc is best? I assume keeping my hair shorter will keep it healthier ?
I plan on getting a Doctor to look at it in the new year.
