(19 Y.O) Are these Signs of early male pattern baldness? *Updated Pictures*

I have been lurking on many different forums including this one reading up on a lot of things regarding hairloss since I first started to worry about hairloss about 6 - 9 months ago. Ever since then I have had this on my mind it has pretty much changed me as a person I am no longer that happy guy everyone use to know, just have terrible long down weeks because I worry myself sick.

On my fathers side all his brothers have a full head of hair apart from frontal recession they have full crowns my dads father is NW6 however. My mothers side all her brothers have a full head of hair currently with some recession of the temples however crown is ok. My grandma's brother is NW6 (or close to it). Already this is not looking good for me .

I have read a lot about Nizoral acting like a DHT inhibitor so I thought I'd do what some people have been doing which is using Nizoral 2% everyday, I have done this for 6 days a week for two weeks without absolutely no scalp irritation or side effects so I have continued using it However since I began doing this I have noticed a lot of shedding from all over my head! The hairs that fall out are pretty long hairs appear to be normal thickness and it falls out from everywhere when I pull. I assume this is a good thing that the hair shedded should be replaced with thicker healthy hair as its an indication that the treatment is working?

My hope was that using Nizoral would slow down the hairloss to the point where I could maintain what I had...

Now if this is male pattern baldness I am very scared about using Propecia I have however on hand 90 days supply of Generic Finpecia from Cipla. My main worries of using Propecia is Gyno and sexual dysfunction!

Oh and please don't suggest shaving my head and not worrying about it! I wish I could but my head is very badly shaped flat head Syndrome or whatever which basically means the back of my head is like /

if you visit my web in my firm, you can see my opinion about shaving the head. I think that is a problem with common baldness.

BTW, your case is not a very bad one, if you are able to mantain your present hair it could be a good item.

So little loss in these pictures I'd be hesitant to even call it male pattern baldness.

The extremely slight, not-even-noticeable crown loss I'm seeing could be the very, very early stages of loss, but so ridiculously small I wouldn't even begin meds until it got worse.

Nizoral 6 times a week? You crazy boy? That stuff is harsh. I'd cut back to 2-3 a week MAX, if even that. My feeling is if you don't have scalp inflammation or scalp fungus, you shouldn't use it at all, but some people think it works, so, to each their own.

From looking at those pics I'd say keep an eye on it and see how much worse it gets, but for now, don't start anything.

It would help to see the hairline with your hair pulled all the way back too.

your hair looks realy good so you shouldnt start taking meds but it's a good thing you noticed it when it starts . so many people here started too late cause they were in denial (myself included). keep taking pictures that will give you a good idea which way this is going . if it's just the crown then propecia should do the job but again i wouldnt start just yet.

Your hair looks good mate...don't worry so much about it...process is very slow in your case, if there is any male pattern baldness...
...don't be so stressful or sensitive about it or you will ruin your youth days. Enjoy life, take a peek to see for any changes...if things become a bit more obvious you should start with some treatment like Finasteride...

Not sure if it is Mature hairline but one thing I know is that I've had this kinda crows peak for a very long time even when I was 13...

Nizoral 6x a week you think this can cause even more loss? Because I've had serious serious dandruff and nizoral has helped so much so far at this amount I have had no side effects except for some shedding which is a good sign correct?

Where can I get this peptide stuff from?

If it is, it is still very early I wish my hair looked that good at that length now and I am only two years older than you. I would NOT wash your hair with nizoral 6 times a week as it is not good for your hair what you need to do is just use it every 2 to three times a week as using it 6x a week may cause tolerance to your hair (at least what I have been taught with shampoos). Personally if you are still nervous just keep a watch on it every month at the beginning on parts you think are where it is possibly getting worse but I can tell you that I bet nobody even people with male pattern baldness have looked at you and said "Yeah, he's losing it". Enjoy your early years man, you only get to live them once.

Hey mate thanks for the reply and I have taken peoples advice as you've mentioned and only use nizoral 3 times a week other days I rotate between H&S's and whatevers in the bathroom, heh.

Thing that scares me is that sometimes when I am pulling hair from the back of my head near the crown I sometimes get a little thin hair it's about 2.5cm's long and thinner then other hairs so far that's only happend 4 times that I can recall. Is this a sure sign that there is male pattern baldness at work.

Do people without male pattern baldness sometimes shed these small, thin hairs?

That's my biggest worry at the moment.

I have booked a Doctors visit for a blood test and seeing a Derm aswell to figure out once and for all what is going on.

Thoughts regarding the small hair falling out will be appreciated, thanks!

I don't know why the mods allow you to continue this bullshit about shaving a head causing baldness... it's no better than any of the miracle cures that are marketed. It doesn't make any difference whether you shave or not. If you don't have the balding gene, you're not going bald and vice versa.

Yeah I got the same-ish head shape... it kinda sucks, but I've seen worse. Like the notorious flat back that is like |. And no way is it a "syndrome" of any kind, it's just another head shape. Everyone in my family except my mom has this kinda headshape.

Dude you got a perfect skull and you can pull it off easily you are lucky man my friend. mine is way more screwed the hair covers that up big time for me
