18yr male and I think my hair is thinning help

Hey I’m a male and 18yrs old and I’ve been suspecting my hair has been thinning for maybe six months but I don’t know and it seems to be only the sides of my head the top of my head doesn’t seem that bad at all I also went to the doctors and she said “ that it was just the way the light hit my hair” any opinions help or not will be muchly appreciated I also don’t really shed like at all

No I haven’t I was coming here and getting opinions from people from here first what do u think also this was my hair a few months back I feel like it’s improved a little so idk if it’s telogen iffluvium or what

Yes as you have thinning all over, but your temples look receded, I would see a dermatologist first. That way you can rule out the type of Hairloss and use the correct treatment.
