Hi I've always had pretty thick hair, but this past summer I started attending UBC and about a month and 3 weeks in I started noticing my hair was falling out in the shower, when I looked in the mirror my hair appeared and felt drastically thinner all over (no receding hairline), I also noticed I now suddenly had dandruff (never had it before) I got a lab test done and everything checked out, but my iron was on the lower side of the normal range, so I started eating more iron foods but saw no improvement, I didn't really feel stressed around the time it started , after a while I began to notice other things like dandruff in my eyebrows and eyelashes as well that my skin became flaky, then my eyebrows and eyelashes started falling out as well and now my eyebrows are significantly thinner to, I've been back from UBC for about two months now, and don't see any improvement, so my question is does this sound like male pattern baldness or something else, I'm a little hesitant to believe its male pattern baldness since the hair loss/thinning coincided so suddenly from changing areas and a changing diet (had to eat cafeteria food for the majority of the year)
