183(tm) shampoo: topical sulfur & minoxidil

This stuff costs $35 for a 2 month supply. It combines minoxidil & MSM. Anyone else use topical sulfur? I've read in here that oral MSM supplements work wonders, and I've been considering picking some up (not 183, but a MSM supplement).

Your post is a bit confusing - from the description the shampoo doesn't have any minoxidil or sulphur, it's the topical above it that does. The shampoo has whatever this "L-TOC" they refer to is in it. I'm not sure if that's what you were implying or whether the title was merely poorly worded.

Anyway, that aside msm just helps the hair grow more quickly, whether it does that through topical application I don't know. They say their topical solution also contains a "natural acid" which i assume is probably azelaic acid...

Personally i'm always incredibly sceptical of these sort of things where they aren't 100% clear on what the product contains. Makes it very hard to substantiate any of their claims, and reeks of shady marketing to me - but that's just me.

Yeah I was a bit confused by it myself. My main question was whether or not sulfur had any benefit in a topical form. It seems like they want their ad to be confusing so you just buy it without questioning.
