Okay, so about 3 weeks ago I shaved my head impulsively to prepare myself for the Navy (I leave in two weeks for boot camp). I didn't see anything wrong with my hairline before that. I've always had a natural widows peak, even as a baby, but the widow's peak seemed stronger than before. The temple hairs started to become more visible after about a week, more in the left side of my hairline, but less on the right. My mom says my hairline has always been like that but I suspect it's either male pattern baldness or a maturing hairline.

Right now, my hairline is exactly like my grandfather's (mother's side), who also had a widow's peak and died with a full head of hair, maybe a mature hairline.. My dad, who doesn't have a widows peak, started losing his hair from male pattern baldness at 36.

There are no hairs falling out my head, just seems like my temples look thinner than they were before, it may just be my imagination but I'd really like some opinions.

The one with the hair is a little while before I shaved it.
Could it just be that I have naturally thin temples that take awhile to show or is it male pattern baldness or a maturing hairline?
