Hi I'm a 18 year old student studying in the UK.I'm originally from India.Ever since I came to the UK I've been experiencing a lot of hairloss. It's been two years since I came but i still can't figure out the reason why.I lose a lot of hair in the shower and also when i check my pillow after i wake up i can find many strands.Even when I try to comb my hair at least 3-4 strands just fall off.I have attached some pics below.you can see my hairline has receded considerably and sadly it continues to do so.Please let me know if this is alarming and also what steps I need to take reduce hairloss. It would be great if you could tell me why I might be losing so much of hair and also theres any kind of treatment or medicine needed especially for someone who is still in his teens.Thank you!

based on the pictures, your hair look fine but can't say for sure. It might be stree related so maybe try to relax and do some exercise. Do you have a family history of hair loss? Keep an eye on your hair for the next 6 months and take pictures every month. Good luck!

I am afraid I am seeing early signs, if at all. If you pay attention to your temples, you have a deep hairless area in temples that has already formed-the back pointed "apex" of the 'triangle" is getting wider and deeper.

If you say so that your frontal line has receded so as to give you a relatively larger forehead than you had before, let's say when you were 15? That could have been dismissed as a normal maturing hairline. However, conditions you have encountered such as deep temple loss, coupled with exacerbated hairloss the way you are describing, your young age, and your intuitive thought that you are losing it and you are here searching, are all tell-tale sign of what MAY BE coming.

I am sorry to be relaying such bad information to you and that I sincerely hope is not true. I would be very interested in hearing from you in several months/years that you are not developing a hairloss pattern. I hope I am wrong and please keep us posted on this thread.

Start off with Propecia and if you have itchy scalp or dandurff, use Nizoral shampoo as well.. give it a good one year and if you feel like your hair is still balding and they don't help with your hair loss, then add Minoxidil (Rogaine). But I am not really sure if your hair is thinning or not. Do you have any family history of hair loss? I would go and see a dermatologist first to make sure! Good luck!

Start taking propecia and hold on to what you have and also grow some new hair. Go for the generic though Finasteride. Propecia is way to expensive! GL

This will work. It will take time but it will work!
1st- I know it's hard but stop worrying. Your body does everything for a reason. Take your mind off worrying through activities that will calm you or keep you occupied :coffee:

2nd- Get your thyroid levels checked ASAP

3rd- It is very possible that you vitamin D levels are low. This is what saved me! Get your doctor to prescribe you D3 tablets ASAP, as it will take some time for this to start working.

4th- Regularly oil massaging your scalp

5th- Use Nizoral shampoo

6th- 2 teaspoons of blackseed oil a day, can do wonders. Take 1tsp in the morning and 1tsp before going to sleep. Make sure to dilute it in water.

:salut:
