so, i'm 18, losing hair. could it be worse. well, i imagine so. i just wear a hat wherever i go, and when i start to not feel so bad about it, i look in the mirror and it just looks worse. i'm so envious of everyone with a full head of hair. it makes me feel crazy. everyone has always told me that i had a bald spot, even in high school, on my "vertex", but i never thought anything about it. i dyed my hair this summer, didn't like it, and put some ridiculous chemical concoction on my head to try and get rid of it. stupid as hell, right? i know this now. so, all this hair loss could be a result of that, as my hairdresser and dermatologist have said. but my mom's father lost all his hair when he was in his early 20's. i've been on propecia for almost a month, i'm using rogaine at night, using thickening shampoo. i bought some nizoral 1% today and am going to use it a few times a week. any other suggestions? thanks. i posted some pics. :(

You still have a good deal of hair, and you're using all the right treatments.

My only advice: keep going with the treatments for at least a year and I'm positive you'll see results.

Good luck.
