Really worried I might be receding, always had an abnormally far back hairline but recently I have noticed it started to recede back further on the one side and slightly on the other, my forehead has a slight burning sensation in the corners where I’m noticing it receding, the last picture was me in 2013 and I’m 18 now and it doesn’t really look too much different to how it is now, was wondering if I need to take any steps was thinking of getting finasteride and cutting my hair short as I’m struggling to find a style that suits my forehead shape, any advice is fine, was thinking of going to the doctors simply for the burning sensation. Also I’m noticing that my hairline is receding more on one side

It is normal the one side to recede more i have that too.I would personally at your situation use minoxidil dermaroller finasteride ketoconazole shampoo and biotin. If it is too expensive stick too only finasteride.

My guy get on finasteride ASAP. Having a big forehead is better than being the balding guy, believe me I’m in those shoes now and I’ve learned to love my five head as long as you can maintain the hair you have with finasteride

I'm in the same boat as you. I've got a similar hairline, high forehead and hair texture to you (dead straight, really fine and limp) and am thinking about cutting it shorter as longer hair just doesn't work for me.

Could try a hairstyle where your fringe is down and covers your hairline.

My hair isn’t fine really, it’s quite thick, just didn’t wash it when I took this photo, I’ve had a fringe my whole childhood and I think they look horrible so I can’t be arsed to keep it anymore, I could easily hide my hairline with my hair but don’t want to as I shouldn’t have to at my age, I just want to know how I can my hair as it is now as long as possible, until I get married really

Idk, your hair looks fine but you've got a lot of density.

Finasteride, nizoral and minoxidil are your best bet if you want to maintain. I wouldn't worry too much about the horror stories you've heard. If you get side effects, just stop.

To give you peace of mind, go to your GP and ask them for a vitamin (especially vit.D) and thyroid blood test.

Hairline doesn’t look much different from 2013 OP. Slight recession I can see but looks like you’ve had that kind of hairline naturally.

I’d get it checked though.
