At 18 weeks, it can still be completely normal not to see visible growth yet.I got a transplant done about 18 weeks ago and I don't see any growth. Not one hair has sprouted. It looks the same as day 1. Should I be worried. Other people have growth at this time.
A lot of people expect things to start showing around that time, but in reality, growth timelines vary quite a bit from person to person. Some people don’t see meaningful growth until month 4–5, and even then it can start very gradually.
Comparing to others can be misleading because photos online usually highlight earlier responders, not the slower ones.
The fact that your hair loss was due to traction alopecia is actually a positive in terms of long-term outlook, since the surrounding hair isn’t affected by ongoing miniaturization in the same way.
If there’s still no visible change by month 5–6, then it’s worth checking in with your clinic just to be safe. But at 18 weeks, you’re still within a normal window.
