Can anyone tell me if they have similar experiences to me. I was only on finasteride for 6 weeks and quit due to the same sides i'm still experiencing today. 18 months off of the drug and I still have a burning/itching/tingling scalp for possibly 80% of my day. Body hair still grows in places it was never present before, my existing body hair has become longer and thicker. I still have oily skin and suffering with acne. My hair is still thin and brittle, plus it's still falling out when I run my hand through it- None of this was present before I started taking finasteride, but all this plus the mood swings and extremely high libido I had while taking it forced me to stop. Granted, some of these symptoms aren't as strong as they were even 8 months ago but they shouldn't be there at all!
Ive tried massages and visited the doctor countless amount of times, who has prescribed me different medications including topical steroids and I've tried various shampoos, but the horrible sensations just will not go away. Any tips? I do believe that taking that pill is my single biggest regret. Not only has it sped up my hairloss and completely destroyed my hair quality, but it's also causing me alot of physical uncomfort in my scalp.
