Just wondering if anybody could help me out.

I am only 18 and have been balding badly.

I have posted some pictures below.

I think the hair is only falling from the top of my head, but it is starting to anoy me.

Does anybody know how I can stop it falling out, or even re grow some?

Thanks for any advice in advance :)

almost all men start to lose some density from 17-18 onwards, its just the first time its looks thinner, not thicker, so most ppl freak out they r going bald, and some are, but u wont know for a while yet.

u could be going bald and the is the beginning, or, u could just recede a bit for a few yrs, then be stuck with that hairline the rest of ur life. The only way to tell is go to a dermatologist and be mapped for miniturization.

id just start using nizoral once a week, and leave it a year. and observe.

I find both with other people and myself, the first time u realise youve lost a bit, u panic, and it sets off a chain reaction where panic only leads to more hairloss. So understand, even with treatments, ur hair will never be like it was when u were 15. It will get worse, its just a question of how u respond to it, and what ur genetics are programmed to do, and the environmental influences that contribute.

u cant control ur genetics, but u can control panic, environmental influences, and the way u respond.

Whatever you do, do NOT just "do Nizoral and leave it for a year". Start using Nizoral, but keep an eye on it. Take pictures from all angles so you know where you stand right now. check on it every month or so and compare to the pictures. If you see a noticeable change, then it's probably time to jump on something else.

Something else you might try...cut your hair short for now. Longer hair can hide loss, so you don't really know how bad/good it is. So, cut it, take some pics, and post them back here. Maybe pics with shorter hair will reveal more to the community here and we can give you better feedback.

hahaha, so ur telling not to take my advice, which was to use nizoral and wait a yr, but telling him to use nizoral and keep an eye on it.

ur an idiot. obviously he'll be keeping an eye on it, so u basically told him to do wat i just said to do, after saying, and i quote 'Whatever you do, do NOT just "do Nizoral and leave it for a year'

these young people need to know preventative medication for male pattern baldness is not a good idea, until they r sure they have male pattern baldness.

These things have the potential to make ur hair alot worse very quickly, and they dont always recover. Plus theres the side effects to consider.

its not just a matter of, start taking a drug and all will be hunky dory.

you: "Do nizoral and leave it for a year"

Me: "Start with nizoral...uf you see a noticeable change, then it's probably time to jump on something else."

Therefore, no, I did not say exactly what you said. You can't just "leave it" for a year. It's 100x easier to MAINTAIN hair than it is to regow, so just "leaving it" for a year is a bad idea.

And you call me the idiot...

no need to argue guys, we're all on the same team here.

looks like the beginnings of male pattern baldness to me. i'd say jump on nizoral and take photos once a month in the same lighting conditions. but from the looks of things i'd probably say you'd wanna get on finasteride at some point in the near future. i started a month before i turned 19 and haven't regretted it at all.

whatever, that's a whole different matter. just keep an eye on it. it's not bad at the moment but to me it looks like you're gunna start noticing it within the next year or so.

take care bro.
