17yo, Minoxidil And Topical spironolactone?

im 17 nearly 18 and just started minoxidil. I wanted to know that if I wanted to add topical spironolactone in the near future, can I apply them both? And would these two atleast maintain my hair until I'm older and will consider finasteride?

As long as you're growing stay away from anything that increases estrogen.

It turns out low dose estrogen actually stimulates growth in pubescent children. The 15% increase from finasteride isn't even equivalent to the low doses administered in this trial. If anything, finasteride might actually help you grow taller.

Yes, you can use both minoxidil and topical spironolactone. It has an extremely low risk of going systematic (almost unheard of), just don't use it for 30 min after a shower as that can increase the absorption and potentially increase the risk of it going systematic.

Use topical spironolactone and minoxidil 2x daily for maximum effectiveness. Apply minoxidil first, wait for it to dry or apply them at different times.

Mixing minoxidil and spironolactone is fine if you want the awful smell to accompany it. But if the minoxidil contains anything to help increase its absorption, you can bet it will increase spironolactone's absorption increasing a systematic risk.

Jesus Christ, can things get any more difficult? Not only do treatments do sh*t nothing just make your hair look like sh*t, but they also make your hair smell bad.. geez.

If spironolactone and RU don't work, im not going out ever again until my hairpiece arrives. I'll shave my Norwood 1.8 and put a wig on top. What else is there to do?

spironolactone honestly doesn't smell at all if you get S5 but if you apply at the same time as minoxidil it can get a stench.
