hey guyz,
i posted a thread her on 15th about my hair loss problem (including pics). http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions ... hp?t=20772
Anyways, my parents have finally agreed on getting propecia. I am almost 18 now, but the problem is that i just wanna know is it smart to start propecia at this age. Eventhough when i get propecia i am going to be using 0.50 mg everyday. BTW, i have working out like a mofo since last 4 months to burn off testosterone, is it helpful or not? Just wanna know if its a good idea. I am sure if i get sides from finasteride, then i will quite it right away. Is anybody out there who started at my age (like 18 or so), and how did the drug response to your body??? Thanks.....i would really appreciate any advice on this topic.....thanks again

well its about damn time i come across someone my same age....i have been on propecia and tryed minoxidil for a while for about 6 months now...all it has done was stop my hair loss...no regrowth what so ever, maybe a lil thicker in the areas where there was already hair...but u and i are both fucked up the asss....trust me on this one....i am 17 years old and i am a goddamn expert on this sh*t already...but i am desperate..i will be getting a hair transplant this summer, becasue i will be ready for furture hair transplant down the roadsi nce i am at such a young age...but i need my hairline back...thats all there is too it, i cant go on looking like a goodfy muther f****r for the rest of my life...the sh*t needs to change so thats why i am going to just have to suck it up for the rest of the school year...getting no b itches at all but oh well...i'm 70% sure i will be getting a hair transplant, and the other 30% if going to be foligraft 3.1...they have a place near by where i can get a not surgerical graft procedure done so i coud possaibly end up doing that..but honest to god...hopefully you dont have much hairloss right now cuz whatever is gone is and will remain gone unless u get surgery...best of luck

Sorry to burst your bubble... but any "qualified" doctor wont perform a hair transplant on somebody your age...

well, yea, i have been really stressed out since last september, however, i saw my hairloss problem before last sep.It actually started when i was 15 or so. I dont know but no body still answered my question about is anyone out there who took propecia at my age. And how did it work out for him. I already got an answer from Dpiz (thanks by the way), but i need more info.

propecia should only be taken after the age of 18, or sometimes 20, generally when you have finished puberty.

im on my 8 month of dutasteride, and was OBVIOUSLY THINNING a horseshoe, but now, texture of my hair has imroved a fair bit and regrowth has started to show!! the stuff works, show some patience!

my male pattern baldness started when i was 16 and was progressing dramatically, im now 19.
