Kid, i can speak for myself and say that Finasteride has halted my hairloss for two years already. I understand how it feels to be balding in your teenage years since i first noticed my hairloss at 16. (it wasn't nearly as severe as yours), and i can understand that you're pissed about the blind ones who can't see you receded into NW2 territory already and can't try finasteride because of the age.

My derm prescribed me a topical Finasteride + Minoxidil solution when i was 19 with a similar recession to yours, while she did not want to prescribe me oral finasteride because i wasn't 21 yet. Maybe it could help you, so go see a Derm and please try to not let it get to you too much. Stress related hairloss is a thing as well, and judging from your responses in this thread you seem to be under quite a lot of stress yourself. (And i can't blame you for that), so try to relax a little bit and hope for the best but brace for the worst.

I was confused at first because some people told me that i'm just maturing and NW2 doesn't always mean going bald, but i'm not sure i don't want to take my expectations so high then be devastated. When i was 16 i was like Norwood 1 there was no visible hair loss, so i will get on minoxidil once my hair grow out to be on the safe side anyways. I don't know why this happens i'm not shedding, but i'm not sure about anything that's why i'm depressed and anxious.

From what i've seen i'd argue that even a NW1 is still balding, but it doesn't matter. What matters is how fast is your baldness, which in your case is too damn fast, like mine was. Try to hold on for now, there are several treatments that are under development and at worst there will be one or two that should help you keep a full head of hair in your 20's https://www.hairlosstalk.com/pipeline/ so stay strong. Just because you're balding now doesn't mean you'll 100% be bald in the future, remember that.

My hair looks more bad when shaved it's less noticeable when my hair is grown and it's better when it's wet, but you know you get paranoid when people online tell you jump on propecia and that you'll be slick bald in 2 years at most thus makes me anxious and insecure.

Im using too Minoxidil for like 5 months and my hairline was very similar to yours, now my hairline looks like a NW1

I had try finasteride but give me sides I stopped this 11 months ago and I still sides but Im improving... I don't want scare you

And I have 18/19 years old
