I'm 17 years old and I'm totally freaking out over the thought of losing my hair. My crown has always had quite a big parting. My roots are a lot lighter than my ends too.
Lately I've had little clumps of hair coming out at the nape of the neck and around the ears, a little bit of the thin hairs at the sides but not really anywhere else. It sort of comes out when I pull at it slightly. I have been undergoing a lot of stress due to leaving school and starting college too.
I do dye my hair every couple of months, and I've always had quite a high hairline/large forehead. I suffer from relatively high anxiety and recently been put on antidepressants, in case it's all in my head and not on it. My hair is the only thing I like about myself and the thought of losing it scares me.
You can see that there's a thick line of short hairs around the hairline I think I can see some tiny growth in the thinner areas of my head, which may be a good sign. A hairdressing student I know has recommended me some treatments to thicken and repair my hair as she thinks that it's colour damage.
As for my heritage I remember quite little about my dad, as he died when I was younger when he was about 60, but I remember him having most of his hair, and it was quite thick, short and wiry. My mums father is mostly bald and he's around 80.
