17 years old and have receding hairline

I'm 17 and about to turn 18 shortly (2 months) and have a receding hairline.

I was wondering what would be the most efficient course of action to take, considering im this young...

yeah i would just get on finasteride and not worry about it. don't obsess about it, just get on the best meds and forget about it. there's no point in stressing it will just mess with your head as many posters here will acknowledge, if indirectly.

what about the side effects man..? Erectile disfunction, breast enlargement... that scares me...

Yes definitely talk to your doctor first, because 17 almost 18 is a little young, but if you feel like you're done developing it shouldn't be a problem. And the very small chance of sides isn't a good reason to not at least try it. There is a very small chance you will have sides, (like 2%), and if you do then they likely likely subside with a couple of weeks.

still looks like it could be starting to go, mines the same but im already 18 and worse off.

ive been on rogaine for 5 months, gonna talk to my gp and hopefully start finasteride soon, seems the only real solution. i suggest you do the same.

If you think you finished puberty and your penis is big enough, get on finasteride. It might not even affect that area. Don't worry about side effects. You can order some right away at http://www.inhousepharmacy.com. Get fincar and cut it in 4ths with a $5 pill cutter.


If you don't get on finasteride, bet Nizoral, and put GTE in water on your head. Not sure how easy it will be to get spironolactone since you are under 18. This second regimen is not nearly as good as finasteride though.
