Hi, i'm a 17 year old male, recently i have noticed my forehead has gotten larger and i think my hairline is receding. i see alot of hair falling while in the shower, i don't see hair falling out during the day just a few strands but see alot when applying shampoo or coconut oil, i did had alot of stress last year due to some problems in the family but now life is great and i started noticing less hair especially on the right side where i part my hair . Just some background info, i used to part my hair on the left side until my barber told me to do it on the right side about 2 years ago. I don't have the same barber now because i moved. I don't use any styling products. My mom has hair thinning, her brother is bald and he's only 25 and both of her parents are bald too. Please tell me what you think and i would appreciate any feedback. I am young and this really worries me, i expected to go bald later but not this young, thank you.

Have a bit of miniturization at the hairline, and one of your temples looks like it's within the beginning stages of male pattern baldness.

Keep an eye on it

Finasteride is the only proven medication to slow it down, in some cases hault it completely.

I'd be very hesitant to jump on propecia at 17. You could have just cottoned onto a natural maturation of your hairline, and there's a good chance it could remain like that for the next decade :)

So far i've been using home remedies like coconut oil and apple cider vinegar and shampooing after 2-3 days
