17. Where am I on the Norwood scale?

From the pictures you seem like a Norwood 1.5, but you have subtle miniaturization starting to go on at the hairline corners.
I was 16 when my hairline started taking a turn for the worse, i'm 18 now. i'd recommend NOT starting finasteride at 17, not only would it be illegal but also dangerous as you still have a bit of development to go through, just wait till you're 18. It's still not bad enough to risk starting it rn. Also, for the love of god, DON'T get on minoxidil first because you're gonna be stuck on it and it's a pain in the ***. Wait till you can get on finasteride and see if you get results.

Yeah Norwood 1.5, I would say you have minor recession. That being said it is not bad, and may progress very slowly or not at all. I would wait two years and take pictures again under similar lighting to compare. Definitely don't take finasteride until you are older.
