Hey all , I am 17 and i recently felt that the left side of my head is experiencing hair loss

This is the left side i was talking about and it had been kinda thinning since around the start of the year , it started when
it's just an extra few strands of hair poking out and i don't see it as a big deal so i didn't really care until this month when it got worse :(

this is the other sides of the hair :)
I'm not really sure what's happening to my hair , is it like the "maturing hairline" thingy that people had been talking about or some other problem ?
Is it a temporary loss of hair or permanent hair loss ? My mother had a bald spot a couple months back but she had recovered from it , so i kinda
doubt it's genetic side of things. Can you all advice me what should i do from this point ? :) Thanks a whole lot !!!:jump:

basing on pictures and as of now, it can be concluded that you have no symptoms of Androgenetic Alopecia. When you pull your hair like that, you will always see thin hair and bare skin at temples. Also, in case of Androgenetic Alopecia, you wouldn't have thin hair on temples but rather completely hairless spot with a defined hairline recession. You have none. There is no definite way of making diagnosis to your concern that you have one side thinner than the other. Regardless, you at least have no problem of Androgenetic Alopecia at all, and for at least for now. So I would not worry about thin spot that is nicely covered by surrounding hair anyway
