17 going on 18.... Norwood 2?

Hi guys,

I'm an 18 year old (2 days off, might as well) and in the past year or so I've noticed my hairline receding at the temples quite dramatically. No hair falling out, just the hairline gradually creeping it's way up and back in the past year. In my eyes, the best and nearest comparison to make is to that of Harry Styles' hairline in 2014/15. Maybe not /as/ bad, but give it 6 months and I'll be there haha. As a teen (and someone who plans on working in the entertainment industry), my receding hairline is worrying me a hell of a lot. It's all I think about really. I've attached a number of awful photos to show you my situation. Some are under "normal" lighting conditions, some under direct light (hence looking more severe, but probably just shining through fine/light hair). I think(?) I'm at Norwood 2/3 but who knows.

NOTE: After looking at the pics, on-screen my hairline doesn't seem asssss bad, but just add half an inch to what you see and voila!! haha

I'm planning on seeing my GP asap, to see what I can do. My dad went bald in his 30's and receded quite early on too. Any cheap/natural treatments for my hairline, to slow down the effects of hair loss?

Also any stories of a similar nature would be great.

Your hairline looks fine IMO. Monitor it (take pics ever month). If you see changes hop on finasteride. That's pretty much it.

finasteride is cheap if you get the generics. Like under 50$ a year cheap.

There are no natural meds that work

start finasteride if you are balding to stop it long term

I'm 19(almost ) and my hairline looks pretty similar.
It could simply be a maturing hairline, I know nobody wants to hear that, but it's true.
You can also buy some generic Finasteride and maybe start taking 0.5mg a day with every 5th day off.
It has the same effect on hair loss as higher doses but lower risk of sides

Yes, if he wants to keep his hair, yep.
Maturing hairline? Always faced that as wishful thinking tbh. Look into family history and that is enhough to solve that.

Not even close to NW3 man, you have some temple recession it seems but its not even NW2 yet in my opinion, more like NW1.5.

get on finasteride and you'll be fine

I cannot understand why most of you are suggesting for an 18 year old get on finasteride. Honestly, with the potential side effects, that's not a decision to take lightly. Nor, should it be advised so boldly. I think your hair looks great.

Hop on finasteride, don't let others persuade you into thinking your fine. Early stages of male pattern baldness.
