Libertine is your knowledge of hair loss treatments so limited that you cannot recommend one thing to this kid that could possibly help him with respect to DHT besides Nizoral?

kid, use retin-A, white curcumin (i'd use both on my face too if i had acne like that)...youcan get the curcumin from http://www.skinactives.com

throw in some t-sal shampoo for the coal tar extract (personally i'd make my own topical instead of using shampoo with SLS in it but i don't expect you to)

i recommend Revita shampoo over Nizoral, no SLS for one thing. besides that, it has a bunch of other ingredients in it.

today was bad regarding people noticing my hairline it was raining heavily and i was doing football outside i put my hood up but that didnt make any different when i got back in, no one mentioned out until some guy goes 'look at your hair your gonna go bald before your 21' why are people so annoying like that. ive had enough of the wind and rain runing my hair its proper $#iT

Usually because they're completely insecure themselves.

now im really not gloating at all,im just mentioning it cos its relevant.Since about 13 years old this one guy who became a good friend would always mention my hairline (even when it was just uneven and not receding)he would always point it out ,say the same s*** you get like 'youll be bald by....' etc etc ..................its really true that the people who come out with these stupid comments are the ones who are insecure, this guy was outwardly a cocky, confident mother fu cker, well, now we're all in our late 20's and he has had a mental breakdown and is suffering from depression. Those who knew him well knew that he was never the person he made himself out to be,people are excellent and deflecting attention onto others when really it is them with the issues.

get on minoxidil and nizoral man, then when ya 18,propecia,you still got loads of hair and hopefully once ya start treatments youll be able to keep it.

as for surgery, well yes there is but NO WAY should you even contemplate it at your age,you need to wait a decade,AT LEAST :)

a few people comment on my hairline, mostly one of my friends who sometimes points it out to other people which pisses me off.

The signs are there. Id get on propecia straight away if I were you...Because once that hair is gone its gone! No going back. If I had my time over I would of started propecia at 10 so I could maintain my juvenile hairline

what signs of balding are there?

well excuse me for trying to help the kid out, i didnt realise you were the resident hairloss god.

I recommend the big three and the big three only as they are the treatments most people use and that most people see success with. Not to mention you make some blunt comment about acne?! for fucks sake the guy is 16,we all had acne at that age,why dont you learn some tact?

michael berry is the resident hair loss god...ever read any of his posts? or are you too busy parroting "the big 3" because most people (most people are poor and uneducated, by the way) use these treatments?

so im a parrot for advising people to use the only 2 FDA approved hairloss treatments available? and yes im well of michael barrys posts. Why do you have such an attitude problem? Im not going to start telling people to use extra things when they should absolutely use the big three as their first move. The big three have worked and are working for me and im not about to advise anyone to take anything that i havent used with success myself.I dont know why you have to be so rude and abrupt when all we're trying to do is help someone out? Why didnt you just say 'hey as well as nizoral try etc etc '' instead of insulting me.

As for revita ,there was so much hype and virtually no-one has come out as a fan of it,so i think i'll keep advising people to use nizoral

Why should they absolutely use the "big 3" as their first move? Are side effects not a concern to you when recommending something to someone? Apparently not, you never mention the potential for sides. If you want to say something like "only 2% of men experienced sides" well you've never done a medical study before then, because I've done them and plenty of people get side effects from the drugs they are taking and don't report them, because they don't want to be kicked out of the study. Not that they would be kicked most of the time, but they fear this.

Why is Nizoral in the big 3 anyhow? Might it have something to do with the cost more than anything? Why isn't Tricomin in the big 3 instead, that has gone through some FDA testing, and was shown to regrow hair. But the makers didn't spend the 6 million on phase III tests so I guess it's not worth using then, huh?

Revita made people shed, so they quit.

If you would say something like "All I've tried is what's referred to by many as "the big 3" and have enjoyed much success with it, and have experienced none of the reported side effects" I would respect you in your efforts to help the newbies.

to be completely honest with you, yes i think you are.

Its much easier if everyone can be honest with one another on here and I know most of the guys do. I just think for you hairline that is the obvious pic for me to say that you are suffering a degree of hairloss.

respect me? oh please,i dont want your respect.....i only told the guy to use nizoral for fucks sake, what sides is he going to get from that so long as he doesnt go nuts with the applications!? i always tell people about sides, dont be so presumptuous........in this guys particular case(as he is just 16) i simply said use nizoral,im not going to mention the 2% propecia sides am i?! follically i dunno why you have such an attitude but you come along here ,insult people and then tell me there is a chance i could have your respect! woohoo! run along you jumped up little man.

I agree just recommending Nizoral is a waste of time. As if thats going to do anything! He is not to young for Propecia. Its not like its going to stunt his growth or anything. I devolped my mature hairline at 16 then started to bald at 18, by the time I was 21 most of the damage had been done. I think he should get on it now before he looks back with regret.

Although I have to confess I think there is a slight question mark over his balding. So I think he should probably at least see a derm first and get one of these minaturization studies first. His hair could actually just look like that naturally. Its a fairly big decision because once you go on it, its pretty much for life. Unless you want to suffer from catch up hairloss by going off it.

Natural dht blocking foods?

use the three products you just mentioned, they are 'the big three' :)

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=44638&p=421745#p421745

once again no mention of side effects

well minoxidil has all the info they need on the side and if they use propecia then im sure their DOCTOR will tell them all they need to know.

Follically, dont start fights just because people are trying to help, you are the ONE person ive encountered on here to shoot others down simply for giving someone advice.

okay, so you are someone who puts their faith in the FDA and GPs. fair enough.

i'd say you aren't helping, rather you are hurting....people who post in the alternative sections don't seem to bother replying to newbies posts, probably because there is so many possible treatments it's a lot harder for them than to just say "big 3".
