16 Months on finasteride + nizoral

Its been 16 months since I first started my finasteride - nizoral 1.25mg a day regimin.

So far its been a downhill battle, I've done nothing but lose hair daily, and it doesn't look like its stopping. Im a diffuse thinner and when I parted my hair tonight after a shower, you could see a huge bald strip 2 inches wide all the way down my head. ugh. Was a tight part before I ever started finasteride.

Can't even let my hair dry and have coverage anymore.

Don't know what to do? My hair is the worst it's ever been, never got better. Using Toppik like crazy.

Tried minoxidil for 4 months and couldn't keep up with the routine, and got massive shedding, can't afford to get balder.

Should I stick it out for 2 years? Or just drop it now, after seeing no gains and just steady loss? Also have some sides; as in softer erections and watery ejaculate, and no morning woods at all anymore.

Sorry to hear that man.. finasteride isn't exactly proven to work well with diffuse thinning, but chances are it had some positive effect. Possibly without finasteride you could have less hair than you do now. That's gotta be frustrating though..

I would say maybe consider dutasteride? I've seen many cases where it worked when finasteride did not.

That's sad news m8. You may as well give it another 8 months. At least then you knew you gave it your best shot. Some part of me says i'm prolonging the big shave off and I would be happier not having to worry about losing it anymore because its gone.

I feel the same @ 11 months on finasteride, getting thinner and thinner, at a faster rate than I was before finasteride. No idea what to do now. Want to add more treatments, that was always the intention, but that seems pointless if finasteride doesn't work.
