So once quarantine started I started to see a spot in my hairline to the left of where I usually part it it continued to get slowly worse nothing nothing big but it was noticeable(I did not take care of my hair for years before this just using axe 2 n 1 and heat tools with no protectant and showering almost everyday) so I started using onion oil and switched my shampoo to a healing honey based shampoo and conditioner and started using heat protectant I noticed some regrowth but it was very slow and barely anything was coming back so I started using equate 5 percent topical minoxidil about a month ago I think im starting to see some hair regrowth in the area I was having issue but I have noticed the other side getting partially worse im guessing cause im entering the first shed and I probably have just put myself into a sudo paranoid state using minoxidil reading some people just haven't had good luck with it and stuff and for further info my dad and mom do not have receeding hairline my grandfather is the only family I know that has hair issues and he's currently entering his mid 60s and had a decent head of hair for awhile before then, I'll include some photos from about the start to to about up to date

You have zero hairloss. You don’t need to use minoxidil or anything else. As for minoxidil, it takes 3-6 months to see any result and up to a year. Whatever you’re seeing isn’t minoxidil. More than likely youre just seeing baby hairs. Everyone has these up front, they have small terminal length...they grow, they fall out, the regrow. If you’re obsessively watching it, it can seem like there’s a problem when it isn’t as it can temporarily leave areas looking a little different between the telogen and anagen phases.

If it was never like that, yes it is diffuse thinning. Don't be fooled.
