Well with all the negativity going on in this forum, maybe I can shine some light.

I've been on finasteride/min/nizoral combo for just about 12 months now, so I've compiled some pics. Let me know what you guys think...

The pics are from different angles, as I didn't really take many pictures in the early part of my regimen - and my hair was a little wet in some of the old pictures. Also - they were ALL taken with a cell -phone  I can't afford a nice digi-camera ...propecia likes to tax my pockets...

BEFORE PICS- FEB 2005

AFTER PICS - FEB 2006

Before haircut - I was trying to grow it out.....

Post Haircut

And finally..the hairline shot

I'm kinda lazy to post more pics...it's Friday -- who really wants to work??

Jeffsss...

Honestly, after looking at your pics, it looks like you have a lot more hair than I do...

I still consider myself a NW2 maybe even 2.5...as its still a little thin on the vertex and a little thin in the front... The hairline is starting to straighten out, but my hair is still thin...I guess it always was, though --- But if I grow it out, it kinda looks like I'm going bald. Meh...I think I have had slight regrowth, and it took me 12 months to notice.

Thanks...I'm very pleased with the results, but I can't help but notice that my vertex COMPLETELY filled in during months 5-6, and now it's still thin.
Maybe I'll have even better results in the next year!

lucky bastard.

He isnt lucky. He is just reaping the benefits of sticking to a well thought out hairloss regeime. Just like you will if you stick things out for 12 months.

Another thing :

As far as shedding goes, I have posted a week ago that shedding has NEVER stopped throughout the full 12 months. This morning I'd say another 75 or so hairs in the shower.

To recap:

MONTHS 1-4: INSANE SHEDDING
MONTHS 5-6: Shedding slowed down.... Vertex filled in completely. Hairline about the same.
MONTHS 7-11: Shedding again, although not as insane as months1-4. Hair was looking really bad, but started to improve towards the end of month 11.

As side effects are considered, I have experienced a much lower libido than usual. It's been this way for the full 12 months, but it is kinda a calming effect. I mean, I focus more on school and work -> but I would much rather have my libido back in check. I guess there is a trade-off for everything.

I tried L'Arginine and MSM off and on...I can only take them for about a week and then I get severe stomach pain. It almost feels like an ulcer, so I stop taking them immediately. This has happened on 3 occassions so far..I guess I never learn. Has anybody else heard of this before? I would take 1000mg of L'Arginine and 1000mg of MSM.

L'Arginine didn't really do much for my libido...maybe I wasn't taking enough.

MSM upsets the stomache. I take 2000mg after a large meal.

The L-Arginine has given me no problems, either. I take 2g during the day, sometimes on an empty stomache.

It takes a couple of weeks for L-Arginine to affect you. But when it does, it's nice to have that morning wood.

Exellent results. I can't tell you how much motivation it gives people to see success.

i might be missing something here, but you said (and the pics show ) that your hairline is shot. It seems that after 12 month's the meds couldn't save the hairline (based on the bottom photos of your hairline)....not sure what is going on there??? So did you lose hair, maintain or grow?
