What do you guys think? Has my density decreased or my temples receded at all? To me it seems as if my hair loss has accelerated a bit, before it was pretty slow; my temples have taken a hit (especially my right one), my hair line has thinned a little, and my hair overall looks less full (and also feels less full, but I don't know how much of this is psychological). I know it's still at the early stages, but what do you guys think?

So you guys have some idea of my baseline this is from 3+ years ago (so you guys know that I am indeed receding):

Also, I had a pretty stressful Fall/Winter which also came with not eating/sleeping nearly enough. I don't know if that played a role in my hair loss (it definitely did with my skin). I'm not sure if that caused some shedding, but for what it's worth this is what my hair looked like during that period (~5 months ago).

I think you’re just losing your juvenile hairline. Your hairline is still great, I don’t think anyone would say you’re balding. Just my opinion

Thanks, what Norwood would you say I am? And do you notice any decrease in density?

What are you taking for it? I would say you have some recession, yes.

His temple hair is miniturised, how do you not see that? That’s classic recession.

It was receding really slowly up until a few months ago. I'm currently on nothing, but seeing how fast things have accelerated I'm seriously considering getting on something. Any suggestions on what to try first or if there's any hope for regrowth?

The first thing I would is finasteride at 1.25mg daily. That’s a quarter of 1 5mg pill. If that does nothing, maybe try minoxidil but I honestly hate minoxidil so if you can find a way to regrow without it, DO THAT. Maybe if fina does nothing for you, you could try ru58841.

Thanks for the advice, the problem with finasteride is me getting my hands on it. My dermatologist (who is bald himself) completely disregards my hair loss since I have a lot of hair left, so he thinks I'm delusional when clearly my hairline is receding and thinning.

Go to a gp. It’s fda approved, shouldn’t be an issue.

Your hair really did not change that much from 3yrs ago to today. I think if it is really bothering you or if you have top thinning you can commence with treatments but to me it does not look like you need to jump on them...you obviously don't have aggressive thinning.
