Hey guys havent been here in a while. Just wnated to give an update and post a question. I have been using propecia, nizoral and folligen for a little over a year now. I would like to think that propecia has at the very least slowed my hairloss down. Not much else. I will continue to take it with this notion in mind. I do have a question that someone could possibly help me out with- All of the hair that I am losing is very thin in nature but they all have the white bulb on the root of them.....Also some hairs have the same white/yellow stuff in the middle of them like the bulb at the root grew with the hair...make any sense? Ok last thing my scalp is acting very weird if I were to scrape my scalp with my finger nail for instance it would kinda pick this bulb like substance from it..... If anyone could aid in explaining what this is it would be greatly appreciated.....is it seb derm or something? Thanks for your help and best of luck to everyone. For any background info check out my story.......thanks again......

jblig,

How do you wash your hair? If you do not scrub your scalp and thoroughly rinse the shampoo off, there may be residue from the shampoo as well as the oil and grime that never really gets washed off from your scalp.

I understand a lot of us are very careful with the scrubbing of our scalp as this will cause hair fall, but it is also essential that we keep our scalp clean and healthy.

I understand your condition completely as I experienced it two years back. I can get yellow substance underneath my fingers when i scratch my scalp. The part that itches the most tended to thin out the quickest.

I started to shampoo by not just slowly massaging my hair but actually to scrub the hair and scalp with my fingers, not too forcefully tho, just enough to get it cleaned up. Also, do not use too much conditioner as this will tend to worsen the condition.

I hope this helps.
