I don't really know when the shedding began (1-3 years ago) but 1 month ago I did a trichoscan and it showed a telogen rate of 40% (normal range is 10-20%). I've been on finasteride since then and the shedding still hasn't stop. I'm a NW1.5-1.75 with sick density and thick hairs, my sides look like retrograde alopecia/DUPA but don't really bother me. There are new vellus hairs sprouting where my NW1 hairs should be but I don't know whether they are due to finasteride or dermarolling (began dermarolling ~6 week ago)
I don't really know what to do because my main concern is and always was my hairline but that high telogen rate / shedding, even if it doesn't have a visual impact (so far) just can't be normal. What could explain it?
