Its been about 1.5 months since i have started finasteride/minoxidil/NIZORAL combo, and so far it has been quite interesting. My only goal is really just to fill in my temples enough so i can sport the short hair again. What i have noticed so far is my left temple witch was always in better shape than my right looks as though its well on its way to recovery. My right temples has improved hardly at all, and this is really were i need improvment the most. Does anyone have any suggestions on why only one seems to be filling in better than the other? Is there anyone who has had this kind of experince? Is my right temple just going to take a little longer maybe + knowing that its still obviously a little early (1.5 months) + do you think there is anythin else i can do to benefit this area? ANY help/comments on any of the ? that I had will be much appreciated.

My first thought was that the reason the right temple (worst temple) might not respond as well as the left is because the further something has receeded or thinned the harder it is to bring back. I believe that to be one of the rules of hairloss and if it is then it makes sense that you wouldn't have as good of results there as in the left where you are not as badly affected.

you're on the right path, don't waste your time with all that other stuff, it's mostly scams to make money (not all of it is, but most of it, and it's damn near impossible to know what does what)

stay on the big 3, be confident you're doing all you can do, and move on with your life (unless you're OCD, in which case, find a lot of hobbies and distractions to dissallow your brain from having idle thought)

and if the temple bothers you and you've stablized for a while, get a transplant into it

I would be interested to know how many of us here have a bit of OCD, or at least fit the profile. I've often thought that I sorta had it anyway, with hairloss it's just being magnified. How do i know? 600 posts in six months. hmm... i think i've obsessed :)

it's all about the diathesis-stress model man

pre-hairloss I had OCD tendencies (as was genetically predisposed). however the stressors in life were not so great as to totally activate the brunt of my OCD potential.

hairloss is what provided the OCD demons repressed inside to come out and have a non stop field party.

oh those bastards are happy. f*****g demons..ill eat them someday

little weasley bastards, I see them laughing and eating

it's like that gremlins movie

anyways trent: don't get on any psychotropics or neuroceticals or anything like this. they're totally ineffective in regards to OCD despite the BIG PHARMA propaganda studies they put out there [that is probably being taught to you in med school]

the best solution is to use the powers of your OCD to formulate a life strategy to defeat your obstacles. making a lot of money (you'll be rich as hell if you can make it thru med school) will give you unlimited options (including plastic surgery).

Gilgamesh, thank you for finally pointing out the effect money and success can have on other problems in your life, such as hairloss. One time I talked about this and somebody agreed, but I don't think people think about this enough.

If you can make big bucks hairloss really won't cause you any problems, is the way I see it.
