0 regrowth on scalp - oral Minoxidile, dutasteride, Spironolactone

Hi. I am a woman but i don't think is matters. I have male pattern baldness but also on my entire scalp, auround ears, neck etc. I am in Spironolactone, oral minoxidil and Dutasteride since 2 years. I lost majority of my hairs. Medications didn't help. What is weird I had a huge hairloss when I started treatment but... I have never get any regrowth on my scalp after that. I got it on my forehead plus on hands, more hairs on feet but 0 regrowth on scalp... How is this possible? What is more, in my case there is no weaker and weaker regrowth , I have long hair and at some point the hair changes and its thinner and thinner and then is a root. So thinning of the hair is in 1 cycle. After this there is no regrowth. Since 2 years I have 0 regrowth on scalp.

I lost my eyebrows. My eyelashes are also thinning. Thyroid is fine I dont have problem with this.

I heard that I have hairloss genetic. I had more androstendione that I should but now its okey. I had also 250 dht where 360 is still fine, now I have 34. Other like vitamine D, iron etc are fine.

If I would be non responder I shouldn't get any hair on my body, right?

Any ideas how to regrowth and stop hairloss ?

I had only Body hair growth on hands too but scalp hair kept thinning on oral minoxidill. And dutasteride didnt work either for me so u arent alone in this. Im male.

I think u don't have male pattern baldness. U may have alopecia areata or some scarring alopecia like lichen planopilaris.
Go to the dermatologist Asap

That’s about the crux of it.. Most of these hairloss remedies barely do anything.
Perhaps American diet is so toxic it makes regrowth next to impossible or the hormones producing DHT are out of balance with other hormones, or genetic mutations in male are too severe to overcome. Or perhaps male pattern baldness is a multiprocess degeneration of the follicle & scalp & current treatments only address a few of the levels. Who knows what it is.

Well we know that we can’t even affect scalp DHT as much as serum, and even less in the intrafollicular unit. We cannot block enough androgens in specific regions. You can do it systemically but with obvious consequences. If you could limit the effects of HRT to the follicle then you basically have the closest thing to a cure, at least aside from editing the genes.

I',m very sorry to hear. I'd recommend you speak with a dermatologist that specialises in hair loss and investigate whether you might have Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. It affects eyebrows and acts like male pattern but often appears in women. There are also support forums online (Facebook groups for those diagnosed mainly)

Really feel for you being a woman with male pattern baldness. Like I f*****g hate male pattern baldness as a male but it's truely sh*t as a woman id imagine. I honestly feel like wigs are socially acceptable as a woman if it's any consolation. Like as a last ditch solution
