0.5mg Finasteride Eod - Anyone Tried It?

Hey guys

I wondered if anyone on here had tried 0.5mg finasteride EOD?

I am going travelling next week for maybe nearly a year, and due to costs i'm looking at this dose to save money. I also wanted to refer to this graph which is taken from a study done years ago which shows 0.5mg finasteride dose and the effect on DHT levels after 2 days is pretty much the same as it is after 1 day.

Anyone got any first hand accounts of having done this?

Hi ,

I did for 4 weeks as when I tried propecia before I got sides (maybe pseudo sides now I look back on it ) so I tried 0.5mg Monday weds and fri. Then after three weeks went to 0.5mg eon. No sides . I'm now trying 0.5mg two days on , one day off. Hoping I won't get sides and then work towards 0.5mg daily .

Only 6 weeks in so can't tell you if it's effective .

I shed quite a lot in the shower today actually . Maybe it isn't working !

I'd say if it's a shed this early on then it may be a good sign man so hope it works for you! Think sides tend to be a mental thing in my previous experience of using finasteride.

Think i'm going to try the 0.5mg EOD anyway, see how it goes for 6 months and then assess it. just worried i will have trouble trying to get hold of some in SE Asia in 5-6 months lol.

0.25mg EOD is a good starting point
You can move up to 0.5mg EOD as a max if you are prone to sides.

0.25mg EOD and Topical Dutasteride once a week should be more than enough
