So I'm just 2 months shy of my 1year mark with propecia. Nothing has changed during the year (not for worse either). But if nothing radical happens during these last two months I'm thinking about switching to Dutasteride instead which seem to be more effective. Thoughts on this? Were also...

Ok, thx. But what about my original question? Does it matter when I start minoxidil, or is sooner better? The reason I want to put it off is that I want to see what propecia and nizoral can do at the 1 year mark. Maybe I'll be satisfied with the results and dont need rogaine.

Thanks for the reply! Another question popped up. You say propecia is for maintaining and minoxidil for regrowing. If I use minoxidil and happend to regrow alot of hair, can I then drop it and keep maintaining with propecia?

I think the story is that when several ppl reported that they got more hair during the proscar trials, the company made a pill exactly the same but with 1mg finasteride and multiplied the price by 5. My doctor recommended taking proscar instead cause it would save me money.

Hmm, am I doing it wrong? I cut the pill into 4 pieces and take one piece/day. Everyday.

My doctor perscribed proscar instead of propecia. Thats pretty much the same medication only you have to split the pills in 4. 1/4 of the price of propecia. Don't know if it will help you regrow but it might help you maintain.

My hairloss isn't terrible.. yet. No bald patch at crown and maybe just a little higher hairline (4-10mm). But since my hairline was very high even as a kid it looks kinda silly anyway. I'm on proscar (since may this year) and I've just started applying a little recapeen to the hairline. But...
