    Time has finally come

Ok, so quick update: Nothing changed, like at all, ever since I started noticing this problem of mine (pretty much back in 2020. and it probably started at least 2-3 years prior to that actually) I've been on topical minoxidil twice (I used it first time for about 5-6 months, then had to stop...

    Time has finally come

Quick question, don't want to start a new thread just to ask this: I'm on topical minoxidil 5%, using it twice a day. Next saturday I'll have a small surgery (pilonidal sinus/cyst aka that annoying tailbone/buttocks ingrown hair), so should stop using minoxidil a week or like day or two before...

Okay, btw quick question. Did you have any of the side effects with dutasteride, and if you had, which ones? I know the side effects are pretty much the same with dutasteride and finasteride.

    Time has finally come

Yeah, guess I do, but I also think that for now I am going to listen to an actual dermatologist, who took a good look at my head/hair and checked everything. She did said that she wants to start with min, and see how it goes. I mean she told me to come again in about month or so, to see how it...

    Time has finally come

Finally went to dermatologist. So, yeah, it is genetics lol, apparently my hair is still in a rather good condition, given that she was hesitant to even prescribe me minoxidil. In the end she told me to keep using alpecin shampoo and to apply 5% minoxidil twice a day, and to see how it goes.

    Time has finally come

Quick update: Dear God, finally I should get my appointment at dermatologist, hopefully sometimes during next week. And apparently its a good one, the one recommended to me by a person I trust on this matter. And on another note, I'm shedding far, far less hair, like I know that my hair is...

    Time has finally come

As promised, buzz cut, excuse the darn zit on my forehead and maybe a more than needed amount of pics Fun fact: I was, pretty much a buzz cut kid, until I was 10-11, having it cut to a buzz cut once or twice since, but never, not even during my childhood was it this short, this is most likely...

    Time has finally come

What exactly does "balding aggressively" mean? Is it time related. Because I've stated that my situation hasn't improved, obviously, but hasn't worsened in almost 4 full years now.

    Time has finally come

Ok, kinda recap here. I've been noticing some hair thinning since 2018. Although back than it, apparently was "nothing to worry about" and, yes, with passing of time it appeared to have gotten a bit better. And that's what I thought, the actual reason for it looking "better" is probably because...

    Time has finally come

After long prolonging, cutting down my hair, letting it grow again, using some of those will help you regrow your hair/will make your hair thicker shampoos, taking vitamins B, D..., but not going to dermatologist, I have finally decided to go visit one. Before that I have decided to go and cut...

26 years old male, long hair, thinning on the crown and huge parting in the middle

So, due to extreme heat and humidity here, I decided to cut my hair even shorter, and all I have to say is...what the actual hell? 3 people, 1 dermatologist and 2 professional hair stylists told me that THIS is actually completely fine, a normal amount of thinning for a 26 years old guy. They...

26 years old male, long hair, thinning on the crown and huge parting in the middle

Another quick update. I was advised to, start taking B7 vitamins, and start using shampoos like Alpecin (both are good for strengthening hair), and wait for sometime (Few months even). If I don't start seeing any difference, or if it starts worsening to start using minoxidil 2% (lotion).

Also, here is my hairline, my hair from both sides and my hair from the back, if those can provide better insight about my situation.

26 years old male, long hair, thinning on the crown and huge parting in the middle

If that's the case I really shouldn't need to worry for the next at least 15 or so years. From my mother's side none of my male relatives started experiencing hair loss at least not until the age of like 50+. (Except for one cousin who is younger than me and had been bald since the age of...
