Both yes and no. Hopefully you shed small hairs and you get thick hair there once it starts growing again. Some people get regrowth on bald spots (that 1% of users though) and some (like me) gets virtually nothing, throwing money into the toilet and f*****g your hairline in the process.

So is it worth trying duta if you lose less on finasteride (than without) but gain nothing from minoxidil... could DHT levels prohibit minoxidil from working, or if it actually works for you does it work, no matter the circumstances? or would there be any difference from going from...

Finasteride is not some kind of point of no return drug. You can always try it for a week or two, if it just don't sit well with your body, stop using it and you should feel better after a few days tops. Heck, Minoxidil is tougher to start and then stop than Finasteride.

Well, only my father has the "balding gene". His hair was like mine when he was 30ish and stayed so until 50 then he went from norwood 2 to 3 between 50 and 60 and after 60 beginning to thin out on top considerably. So if we are talking about "balding gene", I AM the balding gene in my family...

Could oral minoxodil work if topical doesn't? If so, is it worth considering? Any drawbacks? Can you use it together with topical?
