I've been at this game and reading the forums for a long time and I don't ever remember anyone getting that much (or really any) regrowth from finasteride or minoxidil.

The pain is getting pretty bad and I'm thinking about trying a painkiller like ibuprofen along with lidocaine. Does anyone know of any reasons why this could be a bad idea? Thanks.

Just rolled my 5th time and it was way more painful than ever before, even with lidocaine. Is anyone experiencing an increase in pain after several weeks of once-a-week rolling? I may need to take a week off.

I think it depends on how hard you roll and how much hair coverage you have. I am pretty much bald and roll hard with a 1.5 and the day after there's some red marks and overall coloration, but becomes much less noticeable after that.

Would be very interested to know more details about the "anesthetic ointment placed on the head 1 h prior to the injections" from the chinese study. I've tried lidocaine and it doesn't seem to do much.

Same here, I have darkish red hair but using a dermaroller for now, which hurts quite a bit. Is anyone using any topical or oral painkillers for this? I've read red-haired people are especially susceptible to this type of pain and it's nearly unbearable. I may try something with lidocaine next.
