miniaturised follicles can also occur as a result of hormone and nutritional imbalances, right? after a prolonged period of imbalance, they'll naturally become weaker.. (?)
granted it may be what you suggest but miniaturisation isn't exclusive to androgenetoc alopecia is it?
Is that genetic or can it be due to other factors?
I've read that thyroid issues can cause such thinning.
Can thyroid imbalances/nutritional deficiencies cause diffuse thinning?
The widespread thinning all over the scalp is what's alarming me. I buzzed my hair to see the full extent and the hairs don't seem as healthy as they once were. I went through a stage of severe dieiting in my mid teens and I didn't replenish my body after stopping. Also my general lifestyle...
I've always had fine hair, ever since I was a kid. I've got a few photos of when I was playing sports as a kid and you could see my scalp on some of them. Also my nutrition, and general lifestyle hasn't been great over the past few years, could this be a factor?
That's probably your natural hairline, you're 13. Hair loss does not occur in 13 year olds. If most women were to pull their hair back, most people on this board would suggest that they are receding/balding.
You're fine.
