It is a weird hair root. But the percentage of finding this is very small. Usually won't even notice that they exist.

But it's the roots? not the ends? If not, you can have roots like that?

I only found like 4-5 strands like that (might be more), the other hair I shed are all normal.

I understand if hair is thinner going down the root. But the hair I saw isn't such. Instead it suddenly goes thin then suddenly thick at the end of the thin part. I don't know if you can understand this, but I produced a sketch representing what I said. (I circled it in red.)

Maybe it's a cowlick? my hair used to stand up in the center when it was short. Since my last trim and thin in last October, it has only gotten heavier, maybe I'm just paranoid and bias to searching for spots...

Genetic test wouldn't be only for hairloss though it would be for a range of other stuff.

Wouldn't check for miniaturised hair and such. In case if I'm not balding yet, it can check for the susceptibility of that condition, when and such.
