would a topical green tea massage on your scalp be of any help in blocking DHT?

I really don't like the idea of taking Propecia as a DHT blocker. My dermatologist recommended NOT to, because it's long term side effects are...
Propecia because i'm afraid of any side effects. I'm not saying the ones i listed won't have any side effects (I haven't a clue actually) but at least they're topical and won't feel as bad as taking a pill.
As for minoxidil, I don't know. Tell me more about it plz.

sorry to keep asking questions, but today I went out and bought a bottle of powder called Hi-Lignan Certified Organic Flax Seed Protein. It says on the bottle:
"It contains 225 mg of SDG (secoisolaricresinol diglycoside) lignans per tbsp"
but now you say High Lignans is not...
