Greasy Scalp And Flakes, Can It Be male pattern baldness?

I have been experiencing hair loss with excessive shedding (over 100 strands daily, maybe up to 300 strands when I shower) for over 4 years. My scalp feels oily and I have large white/yellow flakes on my forehead. These flakes makes my scalp very itchy and I also experience some burning pain...

    Help in analyzing biopsy results?

In the results it says that from the 32 follicles only 1 was telogen, which I thought was strange. And also since I started to loose more on the hairline recently, I am worried that it might be mbp anyway.

    Working out and Hairloss

I would like to see a study showing the ratio of balding people compared to different sports. For example comparing Marathon runners, Tour de France cyclists with body builders, sprinters or other strength related sports. Does anybody know if there is anything like this out there?

    Jogging?

I plan my runs so I can wash my hair after. Since if I run I feel that my scalp gets oily. So basically I run every 3rd - 4th day.

Hairline destroyed by overuse of Nizoral?

If you stop you will most likely see if it was due to the Nizoral usage or not. But it is a shame that it takes so long time before the results are shown. People usually do not have the patience to wait a couple of months, instead jump from treatment to treatment.

    Normal MBP or Telogen Effluvium?

The best way to diagnose that is probubly to see a dermatologist. They can do a "Hair pull test" and see if you are loosing over 10-15% of your hair easily. Another thing they can do is to do a scalp biopsy, which is when they take a small piece of your scalp, around 4mm and check it with a...

Is oily hair a bad thing?

I always feel that the shedding increases when my scalp gets oily. It usually takes around 3 days for my scalp to get oily and that is when I wash it.
